christmas morning

living in hawaii has its many advantages...year round perfect weather, the ocean outside your back door, and great friends that i've made since moving to the island seven years ago.

one disadvantage is living thousands of miles away from most of my relatives in indiana. fortunately, i was able to spend my first christmas with my nieces this year. we had a blast today and i wanted to create a special holiday short showing the excitement of christmas morning. :D

braxon + jaclyn | a wedding recess

what's more fun on a wedding day that playing some beach volleyball? how about some kayaking? planning their wedding around having a good time, braxton and jaclyn made sure everyone had a good time on their wedding day by having a post reception bbq and chill time at kualoa ranch's secret island.

prior to the reception, we filmed the prep and ceremony at turtle bay. after the wedding was over, we captured some images of jaclyn's class(she's a teacher), waving to her and braxton as they drove by as newlyweds. it was a perfect excuse for her students to have an extended recess period. :D

joel + cynthia | malibu, ca | don't cry(these are expensive pictures)

sometimes the morning of a wedding can be as casual as a run to panda express, some cheap wine and lots of laughter mixed in between. hanging with your buddies and watching football or laughing with the girls, it can feel just like you are just cruising with your friends.

but when the time came and it's time to get it on, both joel + cynthia had a hard time not getting watery eyes when they laid eyes on each other. and cynthia's quick thinking preserved her makeup, and allowed for proper photos. =)
