athens

It was a long, exhausting trip around Greece.  The main reason?  My newly purchased prior to my trip Jeep suitcase decided to lose a wheel.  The suitcase purchase was made mostly for the reasons of needing a new suitcase...and because I own a Jeep.

Needless to say, carrying around 120 lbs of gear at a time, with 60 of them on one arm, in 107 degree heat let me know I needed to rest my final two days in Europe.  Did sneak a couple photos, one of the Acropolis, and one facing the other side (the shot is done on a hill).

mykonos | greece

Here's some photos from Mykonos.  Mykonos Town is unlike anything I've ever been to.  The town is basically a labyrinth.  Three days there and I was at no point able to figure out where I was.  :)

snuck up to do a timelapse in an abandoned building. here's the photo.

oia, santorini, greece | sunset

here's a couple of photos from last evening's beautiful sunset.  tough to find a spot, but managed to squeeze between a sliver of the crowd at the last minute.

in europa.

For the last three weeks, our team has been filming non stop all over Europa.  We've shot a wedding in Spain, a 10 day birthday celebration in Tuscany, and have taken side trips to Croatia and Greece.  We're very excited to show you what we've been up to, but for now, a sunset from our villa in Tuscany.

Ciao!

teresa + john | to love to cherish

one is a tv producer. the other is an architect. one is confident. the other is reserved. the difference in personality is quite evident as is the affection for the other. and despite the rain that threatened to put a damper on the day, spirits ran high throughout. wedding coordination by seasons of life events seasonsoflifeevents.com song - oh my stars by andrew belle produced by fisheye studio fisheyestudio.com

jon + emi | nice.

every once in a while, you have a couple that changes you. they force you to really take a look at what you're subject really is. kind. sensitive. and the ability to push you as a filmmaker to come up with something that matches the story you're trying to tell.

with jon + emi, there was a certain lightness and easiest about them. emi is one of the sweetest brides we've ever filmed. she patiently taught jon how to correctly crack an egg open without the yoke coming out (it worked the second time).

we also discussed the term "nice." while hiding from the rain prior to their first look. she mentioned how jon had used the term often early on in their dating relationship. and without my prodding, she made sure that this ultimate moment would ensure a complement. and of course, it did.

we used a lot less steadicam on this film, and focused more on composition, with the occasional crane or slider. we wanted to approach this one more gently, to match the hue of our couple. we think we achieved it.
