andrea + eugene // standing strong from Fisheye Studio on Vimeo.

at a chance meeting at a halloween party last year, i met andrea. you can't help but be taken by her warm personality and her many passions. but it was when she told me of her fiance, eugene, that i became truly captivated. since he was not in town, I was told about him...and their incredible story.
paralyzed by a freak basketball accident, eugene's life was forever changed one fateful night in the philippines. all those things that everyone takes for granted as part of every day life, were snatched away. it was in those times, as eugene put, that God spoke to him and changed his life for the better. spiritual matters, not worldly things, were of the utmost importance now. and he would never be the same inside or out.

during that entire time, there was andrea. at first, to support him. to be a friend. and it was because of the accident, years after they had first met, that eugene was moved to northern california for his treatment. that is what allowed them to be able to realize they cared deeply for each other.
but that's not the end of the story. through hard work and faith, eugene has been able to beat the odds and can now walk in short stints. and you can believe that in a few more years, he'll be doing even better. just like they will be as a couple.

becca + chris // worth the wait

becca + chris // worth the wait from Fisheye Studio on Vimeo.

you have to admire tenacity.  those who do not easily accept no for an answer, for their reward is that much sweeter in the end.  and so it was with chris and becca.  at first, becca was not easily impressed by chris, the dashing navy gentleman.  but over time, as she saw all his true colors, he was able to convince her that he was indeed worth her time.

i'm in! {lori + james}

i'm in! {lori + james} from Fisheye Studio on Vimeo.

when we met for coffee, it was pretty apparent that lori + james shared the same sense of humor, the quirkiness, and most importantly a mutual admiration of the other.  is it any surprise that their film shows them anything less than gushing at each other?

i really loved the way they wrote their vows together.  each word meant something significant whether it was funny or serious.  this is why writing your own vows, whether together or separate, is the much better way to go.  :)

dalton + michele | you are my rock. you are my perfect match.

imagine living in the same building as someone for 2 years, parking across from each other, and never meeting her. for dalton, he had no idea that this beautiful girl was right in front of him all this time.

in the week he finally met Michele, he finds out that she is somehow unattached in this universe. he finds this out as a meteor shower streaks through the sky. the arm goes around her. cue the magic.
and more or less, that is exactly how dalton tell that to us. there's no question that this meeting light up the sky.

jamie | eden - kauai, hawaii

There really is nothing that can compare to the surroundings and atmosphere than getting married overlooking the ocean in Hawaii.  Kauai, known by many as the most beautiful of all the islands, as well as oldest, always provides an amazing backdrop.

When you pair that with intense emotional love between to people, the story of the day becomes easy to tell.  Certainly the location makes a wedding beautiful, but even more is the people who make this event memorable.  It is always a pleasure when we get to film two people madly in love with each other, and it's easy for anyone watching this film to also see the love in the eyes of these two, Jamie and Eden.

Enjoy their highlight film!
